Wait for the light
The best frame is rarely the first one. Give a scene time to show you what it is.
About
Shanerich is a one-person photography practice working across portraits, animals, drawings, and short films. The approach is simple: show up early, stay late, and let the scene settle.
The practice
Photography began as a way to slow down: to notice how light lands on a face at the end of the day, or how a place changes when the weather moves through. That has not really changed. The camera is just the excuse to stand still for a while.
Most of the work is made on foot, with available light and as little fuss as possible. I would rather wait an hour for the right moment than repair a wrong one later. Nothing is staged beyond what a scene already offers.
Commissions include portraits, animal studies, editorial features, short film work, and original drawings. Prints are made to order in small runs, signed and numbered.
The details
A short set of facts for the people who like to know what they are booking. Anything unclear, just ask.
Approach
The best frame is rarely the first one. Give a scene time to show you what it is.
Light retouching only. No invented skies, no rearranged faces, no borrowed weather.
Colour and contrast, then stop. A photograph should still look like the place.
Galleries within two weeks, prints within four. No chasing required.
A photograph should feel like the place, not like the filter.
Tell me what you have in mind — a portrait, a place, a story that needs pictures.
